A Word From The Pastor
Written by Robert H. Jetton

We can see our summer passing on before us.  The crops are beginning to be harvested.  Fall is coming and our Charge Conference is coming in September.  Beverlyann and I are about to embark on a vacation to Germany for two weeks.  I hope you all will be in prayer for us.  We go to visit our children and grandchildren.  We get to go once a year.  This is our big vacation and we enjoy it so much.

We are looking forward to our time of fall weather.  We can expect to have a time of renewal as we once again harvest our crops and look to God for all he supplies.  Once again we will be happy with what we receive as it will sustain us for another year and we can see how the goodness of God will provide for what we need.  Each spring we sow our seeds with hope and then each fall we once again gather our crops in faith that it will once again be enough and even more than enough for our needs.

Psalm 126, When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream.  Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, "The Lord has done great things for them."  The Lord has done great things for us; we are glad.  Restore our fortunes, O Lord, like the watercourses in the Negeb!  May those who sow in tears reap with shouts of joy!  He that goes forth weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

Like this Psalm we believe the goodness of God will provide what we need.  Like these people we will sow the seed we are given and they will provide all we need to survive.  We can travel the landscape and see many pieces of livestock green and becoming ready for harvest.  Soon we will celebrate together the harvest and all it will bring.

We invite you to come and join with us as we celebrate our God and his goodness.   Come and learn how we can pray for what we need and how we can learn from God how we should live.  God has provided certain ways we can live and bring honor to his name.  Come and learn how to live and bring honor and glory to his name.  Jesus loves you and you need to love Jesus in what you think and do.

God has created you, given you life and instructed how you might grow and serve him.  It is time to find out who you are and how you are to serve him and his church.  God has not given up on you, so do not give up on him.  Come and find your place in his stream of life.

We meet at 10:45 on Sunday mornings here at 5671 Crossland Rd. near Hazel Kentucky.  When you come please bring a friend.  The Lord will be looking for you!

Come and join us for worship each Sunday at 10:45.  We would love to see you!  We are a small rural congregation with the feel of home.  We would love to get to know you.  Just come and visit us and see how friendly we can be.  If you do not have a church home and are looking for a place you will feel welcome give us a try.  We are down home folk, plain and simple that love the Lord Jesus and want to serve him in this community.  We have Sunday school at 9:30 and worship at 10:45 on Sunday mourning, and at 6 pm in the evening we have Bible study.  Y'all come!  We would love to see you!

The Tri-M Sunday School class is putting our faith to work! We are organizing, supporting, and participating in many church functions.  Right now we are collecting needed items for Needline.  Please bring your donations to the church and place them in the Tri-M classroom in the front of the church.  Needed items are: canned meat and vegitables, dry cereal, powdered milk, dried beans, bath soap, personal hygene items and paper grocery sacks.

If you are not attending Sunday school we would like to invite you to come and join ours on Sunday mournings at 9:45 am.

We believe what we do is an important part of the church, and we invite everyone to join us in these efforts.
